He’s not the only one…

I had a customer come in the other day, who also owes a NWFT, she is 3-years old. I found out that his dog is also allergic to grass. That isn’t the only thing they have in common, apparently, they also both came from the same breeder. I know not all of the NWFT from this breeder have this problem, and really this is the second one I have met who has it – in the four years I have had my dog. That is a good thing.

What I have found to work the best? Baths. Lots of baths, especially during allergy season. You can’t prevent a good old roll in the grass or for expect a dog to not run and play in it. It is, for all intents and purposes, everywhere especially around here.

They told me they also put fish oil into their dog’s food. I haven’t tried this method, so I can’t say one way or another. As owners, we both have changed our dog’s diet to lamb and rice. (Though we don’t use the same brand.)
